How to get more traffic from Twitter
So you want to get more traffic from twitter, who doesn’t , take action today while twitter is fashionable
What has made twitter so popular in the recent past is that it is easy to use, simple but powerful.Twitter is a mini blogging Program, which means that there are restrictions on the number of characters in any one message which at present is 142 characters . As you are restricted to the amount you can write in any post you must be concise.
Here are some more tips I recommend if you are using twitter in order to gain more traffic and respect.
Put your Website URL in your profile
If you have a blog or a website make sure that you put in your profile so that it can also be used for SEO. About 75% of people do not do this so you are already ahead of the game if you add this little addition in. You can also list more URLs if you have them and ask people to visit your site.
Make your Twitter profile interesting for people to read
Your Twitter profile is very important, you can use some keywords from the Google keyword tool to find out what people are looking for and especially so that twitter picks up your feed when someone looking for something you are tweeting about.
Pick a niche-targeted username
Your username is also very important. So say for example your niche is about weight loss.
Do a little research using Google’s keyword tool once again and type in weight loss into the search area and also click closely related to my search idea. The results then shown will be other related keywords that you could use if available as a username or you could add into the user name “online” ,“tweets” ,you get the general idea.
Search for Twitter users with similar/same interests
Like-minded people always stick together or so I am told it’s the same in social media.
If you can follow people with similar interests to your niche you’re in with a chance with them following you back and also maybe buying something from you or having a look on your website.
Socialize and hang out on Twitter
If there’s a link from a feed you follow go visit that link and maybe leave a comment, if the owner see that you are interacting with them they should reciprocate giving you free backlinks .
All social media is about interacting with others so if you interact with them, retweet other tweets that you find interesting those that receive this will hopefully do the same.
Writing a short tweet takes just seconds, but it is enough in order to keep your followers happy If you don’t have anything of interest to tweet about, retweet.
Don’t spam Twitter
If you have an interesting post on your Blog or on Twitter you can say so in a few words for example, “I have written this post about the top ten tips on getting more traffic to your blog using twitter” Here’s the link. People are far from stupid so don’t expect any less from Google or twitter, if you spam expect to be kicked.
Twitterfeed is one more useful service you can take advantage of in order to increase your reach. Go to twitterfeed.com and configure your feeds. You can also have Facebook and linked in feed sfor your blog, why copy and paste when you can have it automated.
Add Twitter gadgets to your site
On your blog or website have a twitter icon that will either make the user go to you feeds or follow you on Twitter. There are absolutely truckloads of gadgets you can add to your site for twitter. Take advantage of them. Every time you post a blog you can add it to twitter at the click of a button and instantly get traffic from your tweet.
Twitter rules, its fashionable today so take advantage of it and open an account and start tweeting.
Make Twitter Search adore you
Make the twitter search love your tweets, there search unlike Google is in real time so if you do have an update it will work instantly. Your feed does not have to be indexed like it is in Google so if you have something to say it will be picked up by your followers and retweeted if found to be of quality unique content.
